Mike Roberts has been a frequent speaker, television and radio host and guest lecturer on real estate, financing and the economy in California for almost 30 years. He has been a California real estate broker since 1981, and holds several other professional licenses and designations that allow him to practice in several states. Since completing his formal education, he has continued to increase his professional knowledge and work with an ever increasing and varied client base.  He regularly represents clients in their real estate transactions, mortgage matters, insurance and estate planning programs and helps solve problems that may arise with the IRS.

Mike is the past President and Chairman of the Board of the IAFP (International Association for Financial Planning), Orange County Chapter, plus held the Vice President post of the CAFP (California Association of Financial Planning) for three years.  During his CAFP tenure, he also held the positions of Secretary/Treasurer, Legislature Liaison, and publisher of the California Planner, the monthly trade publication for their 25,000 members. For many years Mike has been an active member with The Orange County Association of Realtors, holding several positions in the Association, including Treasurer for six terms, “Realtor of the Year” in 1996 and President in 1997.

As a Director with CAR, (California Association of Realtors) since 1996, he has been a member of many committees including Governmental Affairs, Housing Affordability, and Credit Scoring along with Chairing the Taxation and the Finance Committees. He is the current Chairman of the Federal Issues Committee, one of the most prestigious positions at CAR and has on many occasions traveled to Washington, D.C. to meet personally with legislators. He was also involved with an Affordable Housing issues task force in California and helped write the final report that was presented to the Governor’s Office. Mike is considered an Expert Real Estate Witness and has appeared in many court cases, plus regularly meets with other Expert Witnesses to stay current on court cases impacting the real estate community.

The California Department of Real Estate approved his company, Trust Solutions, for continuing real estate education credits in Consumer Protection. It is the only company ever approved by the DRE for an 18-hour creative financing course in Consumer Protection. Trust Solutions has been offered since 1992 and has helped thousands of persons avoid Short Sales and Foreclosures.

Since 2002, via their radio show and live workshops, Norm and Mike have taught thousands of homeowners how to create financial options for themselves, and demonstrated that a mortgage free home is a possibility.
